Today I am going to show you'll a simple recipewhich is Chakolya Here I have taken 1 cup cooked Toor dal (Split Pigeon Peas) Now we'll beat it well

We'll now temper the dal nicely Here I have heated a vessel To that I'll add 2 tbsp Ghee (clarified butter) Once the ghee is heated, to that we'll add 1/2 tsp Asafoetida

A little! 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds Once the mustard seeds get temperedadd 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds And once the cumin seeds are temperedadd curry leaves 4 Green Chillies (slit) 5 crushed Garlic Cloves We'll sauté till the garlic turns golden I've kept the flame on medium The garlic has turned golden In that we'll add the cooked spilt pigeon peas

1 cup water To this we'll add 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp Goda Masala (Maharashtrian blended spices) Salt to taste

We'll mix it all together And boil it To it we'll add 2-3 Kokam (Garcinia indica) And a 1/2 tsp jaggery We'll this for another 2-3 mins

The Dal is now boiled I'll turn down the flame I have already kneadedthe bread flour dough and kept aside

I'll now roll flat breads of it I'll apply some oil to the doughso that it's easier to roll them We'll cut the flat dough into small square pieces In this way we'll make more 4-5 flat doughsand cut them into pieces We have made the square pieces These pieces we'll now add to the dal Now we'll again turn the flame on and

let the dal boil for another 6-7 minutes Once the dal starts boiling we'll keep it on medium flame

and let it boil for another 5-6 minutes We cooked it for 7-8 minutes

and now our recipe is ready We'll now take this out in a serving bowl
