Hello and Welcome to Ruchkar Mejwani with Smita Today I'm going to show you a simple recipe which is my favourite Potato Curry I'm heating 1 tablespoon of clarified butter After heating the clarified butter I'm going to add seasonings to it A pinch of asafoetida

1/2 spoon of black mustard seeds 1/2 spoon of cumin seeds After the black mustard seeds and cumin seeds start cracklingwe're going to add 1 spoon of full fennel seeds Slow down the gas flame Curry leaves 1 spoon of ginger and green chilli paste Give it a stir In this add 1/4 spoon of turmeric powder

Half spoon of red chilly powder After adding these,give it a qucik stir and it will release a nice fragnance Here, I have take the puree of five boiled tomatos which we'll add Increase the gas flame and cook it till the oil seperates Here I have taken approxiamately 1/4 Kg of small boiled potatos

while boiling I added salt and turmeric powder and peeled it I'm going to add this to the Tomato gravy as it has released it's oil

Mix this properly I have saved little water of the boiled tomatoeswhich I'm going to add and prepare the gravywhich is approxiamately more than a bowl

After this boils we're going to prepare a paste of chickpeas flour mixed with water I have taken approxiamately 1 tablespoon of chickpeas flour In this add water and prepare a paste The gravy has boiled nicely To make this gravy thick we're adding the chickpea flour paste

We'll slow down the gas and mix this In this we'll quickly add 1/4th spoon of garam masala Around a spoon of sugar Salt to taste We've already added salt to the potatoes just for the gravy we'll add salt

Get all of this together and cook till it comes to a boil Curry has come to a boil now It has also thicken a bit To this let's add a lot of coriander And then turn off the gas and remove it in a serving bowl

Garnish it with some finely chopped coriander And it is ready to serve This potato curry tastes very good with puri It also tastes good with hot rice So surely try this recipe and let me know
