Hello, I am Madhura and welcome to MadhurasRecipe Marathi Let's see how to make ninav today In Ganapati, on a day prior to haritalika Means on Pithori Amavasaya, generally this dish made

The literal meaning of ninav is The one that has no name But it is really nice, different sweet dish Tastes fantastic I love it For making ninav, I have taken 1 1/2 cup coconut milk

Take 1 medium size coconut Grate it & make milk from it Add 1/2 cup gudh I have greted gudh so that it will dissolve quickly Mix well & keep it aside Until we roast flours, gudh will melt

We have to roaste the flours Add 4 tsp ghee in a pan Generally in traditional recipe, chana dal is roasted Wheat is added Grind coarse flour from mill No time to follow all this process & not convenient too

So I am using 1 cup besan At many places you can get a little coarse besan & wheat flour You can use that 1 cup besan, 1/2 cup wheat flour Mix well & roast until it is kharpus It should get nice kharpus color

It is khamang & kharpus roasted It also has got nice, even golden color Turn the heat to low Gudh has completely dissolved in coconut milk Add a pinch of salt in the flour

Sweet dish, a little salt will do Mix well & add coconut milk, dry fruits, Cardamom powder & mix well Cook until mixture comes together nicely the mixture comes together really good Turn off the gas Take cooker

Generally ninav is made on coals You can make it in oven too But everybody doesn't have oven So in cooker Its like making cake

Add a layer of salt at the base of cooker Remove the whistle & rubber ring of the cooker lid Preheat on high heat for just 5 minutes I have 6" round baking tray Transfer the ninav mixture into it & spread evenly

Grease tray with ghee first Spread almond slices on it This is optional You can skip it Press a little with spatula

So that these won't come off while cutting into pieces I have preheated cooker on high heat for 5 minutes Put an empty pot in it as we can't put tin directly at the base of the cooker, it will burn Put the tin of ninav on it Close the lid & bake on medium heat for about 25-30 minutes

Ninav is all ready I baked ninav on medium heat for exactly 30 minutes Insert a knife at its center It comes out clean It means it is well baked The edges also have loosened

It means it is baked well This comes out whole nicely if you want But I will cut it into pieces before taking out Nice Lift it along the edges It is nice & kharpus from below Will show you 1 whole piece Looks really nice! It comes off easily like cake from the tray It doesn't stick

You can take it out like that too Looking really nice! Main thing is it is nice & kharpus It is perfectly like ninav from outside Nice & fluffy from inside It doesn't seem to be dense anywhere
