Hi! and welcome to my channel Today lets make Indian Gooseberries candy(amla) Everyone like to make it at home I am making it in 2 flavors – one salty spicy and one sweet We know the health benefits of it it boosts immunity, good for metabolism, help in weight loss Good for face, skin, hair Its all in all, beauty plus health benefits so lets make masala first Fenugreek- 1/2 tbsp Cumin seeds- 1 tbsp Fennel seeds- 1/2 -1 tbsp Black pepper- 1 tbsp, grind them all i used cinnamon sticks also- 1 small piece its optional, add 2 tbsp of masala powder to amla I took around 20 amla, washed and dried split them in vertical pieces you can slice them thin, it would be easier to dry i am adding red chilly powder also almost 1 tbsp i have used black pepper in the masala powder So not adding any more chilly powder add salt as per taste a pinch to half spoon of Asafoetida you can use as per your taste i have used just more than a pinch don't use fenugreek much, candy will taste bitter keep it aside To make sweet candy Took a few more around 15-20 amla, washed and dried split them in pieces add powdered sugar- 1/2 cup it will not be a very sweet one

adding same masala powder- 1/2 tbsp you can add chaat masala if you want keep it for 24 hours Ater 24 hours the amla has soaked the masala and sugar well it has softened a bit keep it under the sun for 2 days on good sunny days it took 4 days for me to get them dry It's rainy season so not getting enough sun it took 4 days for me It can be fan dried also It wont be dark in color after drying, it will more light in color it will be ok either way so we can fan dry also ,if no sun see, it has turned soft and chewy just like candy I used the amla raw din't boil or steam them prior adding masala so i has all the nutrients intact This the sweet candy, its not that sweet i haven't added too much sugar because then i will not be as healthy people keep the amla in sugar syrup for 24 hours and then air dry we can do that but then,it will not be as healthy its mildly sweet We can add sugar powder over it while eating or add in the container while storing That will sweeten it I am not doing it as its enough sweet for me I like the salty one better Its almost over, I finished it during the process of drying Only this much is left I hope you liked this video Like , Share and Subscribe Bye
