Hey there Lacey here with a Sweet Pea Chef, and today, well, I'm gonna show you my five favorite chia pudding recipes

Chia pudding is awesome It's super easy to make It requires no cooking, and you can make all sorts of different flavors because it's so versatile So let me show you how to do it Let's get started

So let's talk chia seeds Chia seeds are pretty amazing Just two ounces contains 139 calories, 4 grams of protein, 9 grams of fat, and 12 grams of carbs, plus 11 grams of fiber, plus all sorts of other vitamins and minerals And then when you add water or some sort of liquid to chia seeds, it forms a gel which is gonna be how we're gonna turn our chia seeds into chia seed pudding So to start off, we're going to make a base vanilla chia seed pudding

And this is gonna be the foundation of all of the rest of the five chia seed pudding recipes that we're gonna make later So in order to get started, we need to in a large mixing bowl combine some chia seeds, followed by pure maple syrup, pure vanilla extract, and unsweetened coconut milk And then we're gonna stir all of that until it's fully combined You can use any milk you want for this I like using coconut milk because it makes it a little bit creamier, but if you wanna have almond milk, dairy milk, all works

So after stirring all this together, we're going to place it into the fridge for about 30 to 60 minutes That time is gonna allow it to really start to gel and just start to get thicker Then once you remove it from the fridge, you can see that it's become a lot of thicker Those chia seeds have turned into a gel, everything feels a lot thicker, and it's not as liquidy anymore This, by itself, is vanilla chia pudding, super tasty, easy to make, and you can have it just like this

But I like to add a lot of different flavors and variations to it So we're gonna use this in our next one So, let's start off with a dark chocolate raspberry chia pudding, which is very decadent and very delicious So we're gonna mash together some raspberries until they become a puree You can use a potato masher or the back of your fork

Basically, you just wanna get it to an even consistency that looks kind of like a jam but it's just mashed raspberry Then in a separate mixing bowl, we're gonna add some of our prepared vanilla chia pudding, that's our base, and then we're gonna add in some dark cocoa powder Stir all this together using a spoon until it's fully combined and you don't see any more chunks of the dark chocolate cocoa powder Then I'm gonna add my raspberry puree to the bottom of my glass jar It's gonna be about a quarter to a third of the way up in the jar

Then I'm gonna top that with my dark chocolate cocoa powdered flavored vanilla chia pudding, and we're gonna fill that all the way up to the top I like to top this with a couple more fresh raspberries on top and then enjoy So these chia seed puddings will last in the fridge up to four to five days If you put a lid on them and you store them appropriately They're a great grab-and-go breakfast or a snack or a dessert

And so definitely, if you don't finish them in time, you can always store them in the fridge Now, we're gonna make a blueberry vanilla chia pudding, which is super yummy and a nice mellow flavor So, we are gonnajust like the raspberries, we're gonna get our bowl of blueberries We're gonna crush all those blueberries using the back of a fork or a potato masher or if you wanna get it in a very, very even consistency, you can use a kitchen blender So then we're gonna add the mashed blueberries to the bottom of the jar Then we're gonna top that with our vanilla chia pudding base recipe No need to add anything else to it

The vanilla is really gonna come through with the blueberries So it's gonna be super tasty Remember when you're adding blueberries to this and you're mashing them, they do turn brown kind of quickly So this is one I would recommend eating right away rather than placing in the fridge If you don't mind it being a little brown, it'll still taste fine

The insides of the blueberries can get a little bit brown So, eat this one quick, which I don't think it's gonna be a problem And then, of course, to serve it, I top it with some fresh blueberries on top because I love fresh fruit Okay So if you love matcha, you are gonna love this strawberry matcha chia pudding recipe that we're gonna make right now

So we're gonna grab a mixing bowl We're gonna add our vanilla chia pudding base to it Then we're gonna add in some matcha powder Stir this all together using a spoon until it's fully incorporated Then we're gonna take our glass jar and put a little bit of our matcha chia of pudding into the bottom of it, maybe about a quarter to a third of the way up

Then I like to get sliced strawberries and put them around the edges of the jar on the inside so that they're gonna be pushed flat against the wall of the jar Then just fill everything up with the rest of the matcha chia pudding all the way up to the top This matcha chia pudding is super pretty and fun to make and even funner to eat And I like to serve it with a couple of sliced strawberries as well Okay, if you're watching this and you're like, "Ooh, these look like really tasty puddings but I just can't get over that texture of the chia pudding

" No worries I happen to like that texture A lot of people don't mind it But if it bothers you, you can just put it in a kitchen mixer and just blend it until it's pureed You do that at the step before you place everything into the refrigerator to gel

Then when it comes out, it's gonna be smooth as pudding Okay So next we're making a PB&J chia pudding, which I'm pretty sure is my favorite I'm still on the fence about a few of these I like a lot of them

They're so tasty, but I'm pretty sure this one's my favorite It is super yummy So for our jam piece, we're gonna be mashing some fresh blackberries So just like with the raspberries and the blueberries, get that bowl Start mashing your blackberries and we're gonna use either a potato masher or a back of a spoon or a fork, just anything you have to just really macerate them and mash them good

Then in a separate mixing bowl, we're gonna add our base vanilla chia putting Then we're gonna top that with a little bit of natural creamy peanut butter Stir all of it together until it's fully incorporated And that is our peanut butter portion of our PB&J So, now,to get this already in our jar, we're going to start with our blackberry jam mixture

We're gonna put that into the bottom I like to put a nice healthy serving of it because I love blackberries And then we're gonna top that with our peanut butter flavored the chia pudding and that's gonna go on top all the way to the top, so yummy To serve these, I love to add a little bit more of the creamy peanut butter over the top and then add a couple fresh blackberries over the top This is just deliciousness in a jar

All right So now, for you mango lovers out there, we're making a mango chia pudding that is so, so good and it's very pretty, very vibrant So we're gonna mash our mangoes together And I think it's easiest when we have a mango that has been diced So I'm adding the diced mangoes

We're gonna mash it all up using the back of a fork or potato mahser or whatever you have, you know, use a blender if you want until it's pretty mashed You don't have to get it fully pureed It's whatever texture you like If you want it fully pureed, that's totally fine Then we're going to add this to the bottom of our jar

We're gonna put it about a third of the way up On this chia pudding, we're gonna have a cool design So next we're gonna top that with a little bit of our vanilla chia pudding That's our base recipe And then on this one, we're actually not gonna go all the way up to the top, instead, we're gonna stop a little bit short of that and then we're gonna add a little bit of our pureed mango on top of this as well

This is gonna cause a really cool kind of design and vibrant color and everything, and it's just gonna be delicious when you bite into it as well So this is a really cool way to serve to chia pudding too Then, of course, we gotta top it with more fresh mango So, top it with a few diced mango pieces at the top and you are good to go All right
