Ashoka Halwa Recipe in Tamil with English subtitles/பாசிப்பருப்பு ஹல்வா/Pasiparuppu Halwa



hallo friends,welcome to secret of samayal today we are going to see a desert,a sweet recipe ashoka halwa this is a very easy to make halwa if you are craving to taste a sweet,you can immediatly make this sweet recipe this tastes somehow similar to a badam halwa let's move to the preparation now ingredients 1/2 cup moong dal 2 tblsp wheat flour wheat flour gives the halwa texture chopped cashews and almonds 1/4 tsp cardamom powder for 1/2 cup moong dal we need 1/4 cup ghee 1/2 cup sugar this will be mild sweet,if you need more sweetness,add 3/4 cup sugar in a kadai,add the moong dal fry lightly,till you smell a nice aroma fried,this much is enough wash the fried moong dal and add to a pressure cooker add 1/4 cup milk 3/4 cup water pressure cook for 4 whistles or till the moong dal is cooked to mashy consistancy moong dal is cooked well mash it with a laddle you can grind in a mixer too mashed well in a nonstick pan add 3/4 th of the ghee add the chopped cashews and almonds fry till crisp add the wheat flour fry till the raw smell goes off fried well now add the mashed moong dal ashoka halwa will be in bright red colour,they add food colour but today i'am not adding any food colour,going to leave in its own colour if you want colourful you can add orange red food colour add the sugar now this will get melted ,and then it will thicken again for this halwa ,we no need to keep on stirring for long time this will get ready within 10 to 15 mins add the cardamom powder add the rest of the ghee finally we have to add 1 tsp ghee after 5 mins of stirring add 1 tsp ghee i have added sugar for mild sweetness,you can increase the quantity of sugar as you need this will taste and look like a badam halwa halwa is not sticking to the pan our halwa is ready if you have unexpected guests,you can make this sweet very quickly switch off the stove try this tasty ashoka halwa and give me feed back if you like this video,please subscribe my channel
