in this video we'll be making Cannelloni eat it by yourself and pretend that you're bipolar that works too hello everyone and welcome to the Alex vegan channel in this video we'll be making cannelloni it's Italian type of pasta it looks like a big tube kind of thing the shape really doesn't matter but we will make it really nice I promise we'll fill it up with my version of vegan cheese I promise it's gonna be good for this recipe we're going to need some cannelloni you can use any brand you have it doesn't really matter by default all of them or vegan but just make sure that you read the label alright my lovely assistant Ramsey decided to join me so stay right here alright so what do we need first we need to boil some water and cook our pasta it takes only four minutes for four minutes to cook the pasta basically want to make it a little softer but we're not going to cook it all the way alright my water is boiling so it's time to add the pasta this recipe makes two servings so I'll be using sticks cannelloni six of these tubes and we just put them right in and close the lid for four minutes while this is cooking let's prepare our cheese filling or at least my variation of cheese filling if you have made it so far into the video hit the like button also subscribe the notification bell oh yeah this is the tofu that I'm going to be using tofu with basil there isn't much difference in the taste between this one and regular tofu but I figured if you have something with more spices it will be nicer again if you live in Europe you can get this from Lidl if you don't live in Europe living in the United States or you don't have Lidl store close by you can do just regular it's gonna work just fine my pasta is done it took like four minutes and I'm just going to take my pasta out just make sure you don't squeeze the tubes too hard my pasta is done so let's do the cheese one block of this tofu it's 180 grams and you don't need to press it or squeeze the water out it's good as it is to that I'm going to add 1 TSP of garlic powder 1 tablespoon of dehydrated onion granules and 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning 2 tablespoons of nutritional yeast 60 millilitres or quarter of a cup of soy milk or any plant base milk you have and my secret ingredient which is not going to be secret anymore after I tell you what it is one teaspoon of lactic acid this is totally vegan you can get it on Amazon it gives this kind of milky taste to anything you put it in traditionally it's called milk acid but it's not made of milk or anything it's vegan but it gives this nice cheese taste kind of thing and also I'm going to add one teaspoon of dried mustard or mustard powder I'm adding mustard powder because I want to put some broccoli in this one and when you use like frozen broccoli or any kind of broccoli that was frozen or steamed or whatever method you use to cook it when you use mustard powder the enzymes in the mustard powder activates good ingredients in broccoli if you will it's a scientific thing and I'm not like one of those crazy vegans that can eat raw broccoli yeah I'm also adding three broccoli florets and I'll soak them up in the water that I cooked the pasta for just a minute or so just to soften them up and I'll chop them in small pieces I'm not gonna be using the stems just the floret this is how it looks once we're done mixing it you can do this with spinach I mean it's up to you I just decided to use some broccoli that's why I'm also using the mustard powder but if you are using spinach you don't need to use mustard powder it's only if you use broccoli you activate the enzymes and stuff and now it's time to fill up our cannelloni with our cheese mixture all right that's my first Cannelloni filled in with cheese and we do the rest of them this is how they look once they're filled with cheese I mean nothing special so far and now a few moments later now we need to put some tomato sauce on top and I'm using tomato sauce with basil if you live in Europe you can get this from Lidl or if you don't live in Europe or you don't have little nearby you can use any tomato sauce that you have on hand I'll give it a little shake shake I'm going to shred a little vegan cheese on top and bake it that's it and we have our helper here now you're doing quality check what this is how it looks before we put it in the oven yeah smells nice I know ones done it's gonna be even nicer all right in the oven for 20 minutes it's been 20 minutes now it's time to take my cannelloni out of the oven and see how they turned out Wow I'll just let them cool completely and we'll give them a taste test this is how this looks 1 it's all baked and ready to be served let's dig in it's really good I mean I can eat the whole thing by myself but it's supposed to be 2 servings okay so 2 people should eat it now you can eat it by yourself and pretend that you're bipolar that works too all right guys this was it for now try to make it let me
