Today we are going to make KANDHARAPPAM It is soft, chewy and tastes delicious The only thing is to grind the batter in the right consistency Take 1 leveled cup of raw rice On top of that add a handful of urad dal to make it heaped I have measured two cups like this Wash it well Add water and let it soak for an hour After that, drain the water Add it to the wet grinder I have used 1/2 cup of water to grind Add 1/2 cup of coconut I have taken 2 cups of jaggery Take it in a pan Add 1 tbsp of water Let the jaggery dissolve Strain the syrup Let it cool completely And then add it to the batter and grind everything together Grind the batter for 10 minutes Transfer the batter to a bowl Add cardamom powder 1/4 tsp of salt Mix them together It should be like dosa batter consistency Make sure there is no extra batter dripping from the back of the ladle Pour a ladle full of batter in the hot oil pour some oil on top of the batter to make them cook evenly Flip it over Let the other side cook well Take it out once it gets nice brown color Keep the flame on medium but not too low Make one at a time KANDHARAPPAM is ready Do try this
