As salam alikum everyoneWelcome back to my channel Today we are making chicken pies/patties These turn out like the ones you buy at the bakery

I would say better than bakery because you know what ingredients are going in to make them and homemade is always more hygienic Before going to the recipe If you are liking my videos, please subscribe to my channel like my videos and share it with your friends I have added some watrer in a pan and I am adding 1/2 tsp salt in it and 15 chicken breast After it boils and the chicken cooks, I will reserve 1/4 cup of chcken stock to add in my filling later

and I am shredding the rest of the chicken and we will use this chicken later in the filling Now for the filling, I have heated a pan and I am adding 4 tbsp butter 1 medium size onion and 2 green chillies If you want to make it more spicy then add more green chillies We will only cook this for a few seconds and then we will add 1 tsp garlic 2 tsp crushed black pepper and 2 tbsp flour We will cook the flour well for a minute and then we will add 1/2 cup milk and 1/4 cup chicken stock which we had reserved earlier Now I have added all the shredded chicken in and switched off the flame and adding 1/2 cup cheese which is optional but it makes the filling more delicious I am using pre made puff pastry I will add 1 heaped tbsp of the filling and then close the pie Try not to overfill the pies with the filling otherwise they pop open in the oven So we will close it properly and give it a nice design with a fork Here I am closing the rest of the pies nicely aswell You can make these into any shape I am making them in triangles You can make them in square, rectangle and even circle It is totally up to you Just make sure you close them up properly so they don't open while baking Now we will transfer them to a baking tray and we will add slits on them Adding the slits is very important so your filling doesn't burst out I have made egg wash To make the egg wash I have taken 1 egg yolk and 1 tbsp water you can use whole egg as well but when you use only egg yolk, the colour turns out better I am brushing the egg wash on top of the pastries I really like black seeds and sesame seeds on my pastries To bake these, I put them at 130 C for 20 minutes then at 180 C for 10 minutes but every oven is different so keep an eye on them and check them frequently Do try this recipe and please let me know how you find it Until next video, Allah hafiz
