Namaste, Welcome to Lata's Kitchen Today I'm sharing a tasty and protein rich healthy recipe Lets start making this recipe – Dal Sandwich 1/2 cup Washed Split Moong Dal – Soaked in water for min 4 hours or overnight Heat 1 tsp oil in a pressure cooker Add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds Add 1 pinch asafoetida powder Add dal I have removed the extra water 1/2 tsp salt, adjust to taste 1/4 tsp red chilly powder, adjust to taste 2 tbsp water Cook on medium flame till 3 whistles Dry dal is ready 2 green chilly chopped 1/4 tsp garam masala powder 1 lemon juice Mix light handedly Take out into a bowl Our filling is ready

You can have this dal as it is as a breakfast by adding any chutney of your choice 2 brown bread slice, you can use any bread you like Brush slices with butter on one side Apply filling on the other side of bread 1/2 cup green chutney 1/2 sweet and sour tamarind chutney Spread green chutney on 4 bread slices Spread sweet and sour chutney on other 4 bread slices you can use any sweet and sour chutney or tomato sauce Apply 2 tbsp dal on the bread Pre heat a sandwich maker You can also make it on tawa Put sandwiches in sandwich maker Toast till nice golden brown Crispy sandwiches are ready You can make it for breakfast or pack it in lunch for kids You can make it for journey If you are diabetic you can avoid sweet and sour chutney Thank for watching dal sabdwich
