Hey playing it off the phone lately not a big deal you know you scan I couldn't find the Bluetooth speaker wasn't charged it's the whole thing from step back welcome back to another freestyle Friday every single week we're gonna cook it my way recipes are free you know what keep it hot so grab that pen and paper let me show you what I got mmm feeling sweets today complete today look at those date a I'm gonna coke yeah yeah yeah um super super stoked about today's epi I know those rhymes are getting a little weak at the end still a little early for me and driving a lot welcome back to the episode of freestyle Friday how's the intro really good okay perfect I quickly want to introduce if you guys are not familiar my name is a Minh I live in a little Sprinter van and this is our kitchen and we make recipe videos every single Friday so today we're coming at you with a highly requested dessert now Beck and I don't usually eat dessert Beck's behind the camera she's gorgeous you can check out some other videos to see her smiling face when we do eat desserts it's kind of like we just want a little bite at the end you know like a little sugar hit to get you going and if you're feeling that vibe stay tuned I'm gonna teach you how to make two energy balls they are stupid easy no refined sugar they have like four ingredients five ingredients and you can sub things out if you don't like certain ingredients you can't screw this one up let's jump into it the first type of ball I'm gonna show you is a date base you guys have never had dates before I don't usually eat them on their own but they are delicious they're super super sweet so we're not gonna have any sugar to this one it's just gonna be straight up the sweetness from the dates awesome to start we're gonna grab about a cup of dates and if your dates are hard you can soak them in a little bit of hot water for 10 minutes and then just make sure you drain them off really well these ones aren't too bad they're pretty soft now we're gonna have a hell of a time here at the studio because we only have a blender I would recommend if you're at home and you have an S blade mixer ting you know food processor definitely use that this is going to be an absolute disaster cannot wait to clean it with cold water later we're in a band we don't have hollow okay so I'm gonna start by just shredding those down clear it from all the sides because it will start to stick the Vitamix killed it a little surprised by that but that is the texture you want this first energy ball we're actually gonna build it right in the blender we're gonna start with a little bit of peanut butter about maybe three tablespoons somebody doesn't like peanut butter or has an allergy I would recommend almond butter cashew butter hemp butter pumpkin seed butter any kind of butter substitute 30 chocolate chips you can count them out if you'd like 34 and a little bit of oh action yeah hop and then we're gonna put some hemp seeds because like in a day you can't screw this up like I said so if you've got flax seeds throw flax and you got chia-chia I got ham that's one that I'm just putting like a anymore boom boom bang we can throw it back in there and let the blender do the work keep your life easy peel it off the sides this is why I would recommend the s-blade this will work it just takes a little bit more time just tasting real nice one more time looks a little bit like a crumb but once you roll that together the date will stick it real nice make sure you got nice and clean hands unless you're just eating them yourself and it doesn't matter I would just grab like a little pinch like that Cui's it nice and tight look at that with your one hand and then you've got this little ball packed full of protein and goodness and natural sweetness I think that's a really good size something you can just pop in your mouth after dinner you could bring a few of these for lunch snack on them throw the day great way to just get a little bit of energy I'm gonna leave these two back to get rolling and I'm gonna start with my other ball I'm giving you two recipes in one video guys smash that thumbs up first you're gonna make noise you need to leave you can sit stay for 20 minutes so for this one is even easier you don't need a blender you're gonna use your hands for your balls babe so to start for this one we're gonna use a maple syrup pond a maple and we're gonna do a boat boat a boot I would say third over pail if you don't have maple syrup or you can't afford maple syrup that's cool you could use any kind of substitute agave coconut nectar anything you can find or you could use regular sugar as well but maple syrup is amazing we're Canadian we can't afford it but we bought it so we're starting with mixing all of our wet as you can see peanut butter we're gonna do about a 1/2 cup or basically what's left in this jar you're not gonna mess this up if you you know over or under do an ingredient you'll be able to try it and say hey look that's not sweet enough or too much salt or whatever I'm gonna go ahead and just whisk that up these are total freestyle you guys thought of yourself the last following taste that Wow okay so the show's over Rebecca and I are just gonna spoon this into each other's mouths next we are going to dump in some flax seed can by ground or full-si this is golden flax and all I did is just busted that down in a blender two tablespoons of flax mix our own we're gonna use some nice thick rolled oats feel free to sub if you're gluten free for gluten-free oats I'm gonna put a cup Buttercup in there and cocoa nut just under a cup of coconut shreds we're just gonna have a few dark chocolate chips having a look at the consistency here it looks fantastic but I think when I go to actually mix those together it is going to be a little bit too firm so what I'm gonna do is just bust up a little bit of oat flour my trusty dirty blender and just a little bit of oats into a powder and that's gonna help mix everything together that's old flour not only is this recipe super easy to make it's oddly satisfying to run your hand through sticky oats so maybe that's another reason to try this one about and I'm just kind of needing it because I've heard someone else say the word needing before and I always wanted to use it I don't know if I'm gonna be able to roll these so much like I didn't really roll the other ones but I kind of shape them into balls I think that's easier the best thing to do with your hand just call up your friends Bruce Bruce and say hey Bruce Bruce please clean my hands oh don't tell Mom bris all right we've rolled our balls they look amazing so we got about 20 out of the chocolate chip coconut ones and then the date balls maybe a little bit less but of course you could double triple quadruple the recipe we've had like ball parties where we've smashed out like 6070 balls and then split up amongst the family get a bit of an assembly line going super fun thing it's very easy guys like this is such an easy dessert great option to show up at a friend's place if they invite you over and yeah they're absolutely delicious once again I would recommend putting them in the fridge even them cold serving them cold and you can top them however you like as well I hope you enjoyed the video I knew you were asking for desserts I've
