hi welcome to Sara's kitchen today I am going to share how to make Vazhapoo Poriyal or Banana flower Poriyal Vazhapoo is very good for health and rich in fiber for this we need the ingredients are 1 medium size onion finely chopped 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1tsp of mustard seeds, one teaspoon of urad dhall half a teaspoon of salt, 1 red chilli, 2 tsp of oil ,3 tablespoon of grated coconut and one cup of banana flower clean and chop the banana flower and soak it in diluted buttermilk to prevent the decolouration add little bit of salt and cook for ten minutes now it is almost cooked for eight to ten minutes now you need to stain the water use strainer to remove the excess water heat the pan add oil and the when the oil is hot add mustard seeds when mustard seeds splutters add red chilli now add the chopped onion add turmeric powder and little bit of salt to cook the onion quickly If you want more spicy you can add more red chile or otherwise add 1 tsp of sambhar powder or 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder and 1tsp of coriander powder to make it bit spicy now the onion is done add the banana flower now check the salt if you want to add salt you can add now Banana flower is already cooked so no need to cook for more time just needs to blend with the seasoning, add the grated coconut switch off the flame and mix it well Garnish with some coriander leaves Healthy and Delicious Vazhapoo Poriyal is ready Try this recipe, Give your Comments and also subscribe my Channel Thanks for SARAS KITCHEN
