Instant Milk Peda/Doodh Peda Recipe with Milk Powder and Condensed Milk | Janmashtami Recipes



doodh peda or milk peda is an Indian sweet which can be prepared in many ways with combinations of different key ingredients each time ingredients & quantities are listed in the description box in this recipe, we are using condensed milk and milk powder as the key ingredients to prepare milk peda 3/4 cup whole milk powder do not take dairy whitener as it is low in milk fat and has added sugar too 200 grams condensed milk

this is homemade condensed milk you can check out my recipe link on the screen if you wish to see how it is prepared a pinch of saffron strands soaked in a tbsp of warmed condensed milk taken from the cup shown here 3 tbsp desi ghee/clarified butter 1/2 tsp cardamom powder some pistachios, blanched to remove the skin these are for garnishing the peda keep a pan on low heat add the clarified butter and let it melt then add the condensed milk & stir mix once they are mixed add the milk powder and mix again till the mixture becomes smooth and lump free add the soaked saffron and cardamom powder and mix well cook this mixture till it starts leaving the sides of the pan and becomes thick and moves together as one mass the mixture has left the sides of the pan and has thickened as well add a tbsp of clarified butter mix thoroughly and put off the heat transfer to a bowl let the mixture cool down till you can handle it comfortably to make the peda the peda mixture is comfortably warm and easy to handle now grease your hands with some clarified butter and take about a tbsp of the mixture and make into balls then flatten them as shown use a tbsp measure to remove the mixture make all pedas likewise all the pedas are ready
